State of primary education in Bangladesh - progress made, challenges remained was launced on 02 December 2009 in Dhaka by Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE). Mr. Abul Mal Abdul Muhith, finance minister attended the launching ceremony as chief guest while Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, education minister attended as special guest. Mr. Samir Ranjan Nath, Research Coordinatior of the Research and Evaluation Division of BRAC and member of the working group of Education Watch presented the major findings of the study and policy implications. The launching ceremony was chaired by Mr. Kazi Fazlur Rahman, chairperson of the Education Watch and former advisor of the then caretaker government of Bangladesh.
